lyrics
shame ushered in the coward i knew
erased any existence
you covered your tracks
held the wool over my eyes
back peddled promises
severed a future at the neck
you were just a tourist
made off with your souvenir
you were just a tourist
and you never belonged here
a vacancy in your lonely heart
fill it with more empty plans
you were never welcomed
and you will never belong
you were just a tourist
in a place you never belonged

Music written by Days Spent. Lyrics by Nancy Crozier. Recorded and mixed by Jonathan Nunez at Sound Artillery Studio. Mastered by Dan Columbo.
Wonderful dramatic opening, the voice of a black woman in all her honesty, vulnerability and openess. And then one of the fiercest tracks of Zulu, total hardcore: 'Now they are through with me', full of twists and turns, and suddenly ending in a kind of soul-track, brilliant! This is 21st century music at it's best. The end lecture is dramatic and disturbing, spoken again by a black woman. Makes you think. Hesperus
